Shaun Cormier

Project Manager

Shaun studied International Relations and Northern Studies at UNBC, International Law at the University of Lapland and Finland, and Project Management at UNBC.

In Finland, Shaun worked in research on the topics of food security and law. Moving back to Prince George, he worked in social housing with the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George and most recently, worked as a project manager with the Tuktoykatuk Community Corporation in the Arctic.

​Shaun was born and raised in Mackenzie, BC and moved to Prince George at the age of 15. His hobbies include going hiking, playing ice hockey and going for runs.

​Shaun has also volunteered his time to coach ice hockey for the past few years.

Jesse McEwen, M.Sc., R.P.Bio.

Project Coordinator

Jesse is a Biologist and Project Manager with over 5 years of experience working in consulting in British Columbia and the Yukon. He has experience in fish enumeration and aquaculture, environmental monitoring, and surface water resources. He has a Master of Science from UNBC, where he researched forest carbon storage post-disturbance. Jesse is passionate about building future leaders and has coordinated internships where youth have been able to learn from a variety of mentors. Recently, Jesse has been working with indigenous partnerships on mining, oil and gas and residential development projects in BC.

Hanna Donaldson, B.Sc., R.P.Bio.

Senior Biologist

Hanna is a Professional Biologist with over 20 years of experience in project management, fisheries, and surface water resources. She works closely with clients in the mining, energy, and oil and gas industries, providing strategic guidance in project scoping, planning, and permitting. Hanna regularly manages baseline and impact assessment programs as part of regulatory applications, including provincial water licensing, and the federal Fisheries Act. Hanna has directed and managed several independent reviews of projects under the BC Environmental Assessment Act on behalf of provincial government and Indigenous communities.

Tyson Solmonson

Project Coordinator

Tyson attended UNBC and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management and Outdoor Recreation and Conservation. He has previous experience as a researcher for the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine; Park Manager for Kirby Provincial Park; Teaching Assistant at UNBC and a Senior Silviculture Assistant for Aleza Lake Research Forest. 

Tyson is skilled in GIS and database management, silviculture management, conducting research, stakeholder engagement and presentation. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, fishing, backcountry hiking, downhill skiing, writing and video game collecting.

Daniel is a Project Manager with nine years of environmental consulting experience, with a focus on the responsible development of mining, oil and gas, and renewable energy projects in Alberta (AB) and British Columbia (BC). He has managed large, multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the production of baseline studies and effects assessment applications in provincial and federal jurisdictions. His most recent work is on mining projects in BC and renewable energy projects in AB.

Korina Houghton

Project Manager

Korina is a Project Manager with over 20 years of experience managing and coordinating resource-based projects. Her focus is to assemble skilled teams, and to build productive and constructive relationships, resulting in positive outcomes for clients.

Korina’s project management and coordination work began in the forestry sector and expanded to complex and multi-disciplinary environmental assessment projects, mainly with mining and metals in British Columbia and Nunavut. Her experience encompasses all aspects of project management and coordination, as well as database management and the implementation of project management software.
